Black Dog Animal Rescue Inc. (BDAR) was founded in February, 2008 and officially incorporated as a 501 (c) (3) no-profit in July of 2009. The organization is based out of Cheyenne, Wyoming though the volunteer base extends into several other surrounding communities. Currently, BDAR is operated entirely on a voulunteer basis with no paid staff, and no city or government funding. The organization is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
BDAR believes that no healthy, treatable, or rehabilitatable animal should be euthanized in Wyoming’s shelters because of population restrictions the length of time it may take to find a permanent home.
