Title: Imaginary Flora
Medium: Electron Micrograph and digital manipulation
Dimensions: 6" x 8"
This original photograph was taken under a transmission electron microscope of some stain that had crystallized out of solution. The photograph was taken when I was in graduate school many years ago, and while it wasn't exactly what I was supposed to be taking pictures of, I thought it was really pretty, so I snuck it in there with the 'real science.' I kept the negative for years, carefully wrapped up and stashed in a drawer, until recently, when I finally had it scanned by a professional studio. From that black and white image, I made a few digital alterations and got the lovely result you see here!
This photographic image is printed on archival, premium, matte photo paper using HP Vivera inks, which are reported to last for generations. You print will be signed and dated by me, the artist, on the white border around the print, and shipped to you in a sturdy photo mailer.
