WePay collects three types of information: personal information that users knowingly disclose to WePay, information about users that WePay obtains from third parties to augment or verify that information, and website-use information automatically generated by users as they interact with the site
We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services contact us at email@example.com. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
We collect and store certain information about you. This information helps us comply with legal obligations and provide you with a useful service.
When you sign up for WePay, you are asked to provide personal information, such as name, email address, telephone number, and other similar information.
WePay also collects certain financial information, such as bank account numbers and routing numbers and credit card information.
WePay may also require users to provide additional information about themselves or their businesses to help verify identity or manage risk, such as date of birth, address, social security number, driver's license number, or other information.
WePay may also obtain information about users from third parties such as identity verification services, social networks like Facebook or LinkedIn, or other websites that link to WePay.
WePay will ask you to provide information about yourself or your business. We may also collect information from third parties to verify your identity and credit worthiness.
WePay collects certain information from users' browsers using small data files called "cookies." WePay uses session ID cookies to confirm that users are logged in. This type of cookie helps WePay recognize a user if he or she visits multiple pages on our site during the same session, so that we do not need to require a password to access each page. These cookies terminate once the user closes the browser. By default, we use a persistent cookie that stores your login ID (but not your password) to make it easier for you to login when you come back to WePay. We encode our cookies so that only we can interpret the information stored in them. You can remove or block this cookie using the settings in your browser, but this may limit your ability to use our website.
We use "cookies" to collect information about your website-use while you are logged in.
As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movements around the site and to gather demographic information.
We link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.
We automatically collect and store information about how you use this site. This helps us improve our service and detect fraud.
We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers' personally identifiable information.
We use clear gifs in our HTML-based emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. If you would like to opt-out of these emails, please click on the unsubscribe link in the email.
WePay also stores information about your activity on the site, such as transaction history. We may link this information to personally identifiable information for monitoring or analysis.
WePay may collect additional information in other ways not specifically described here. For example, we may collect information related to interactions with customer service or responses from surveys or other feedback tools.
WePay may collect and store information about you through emails, site usage, and other ways.
WePay's primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide users with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. WePay uses this information to provide services and support; process transactions and send notifications regarding general operation of the service; resolve disputes, collect fees, and troubleshoot problems; prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and enforce our User Agreement; customize, measure, and improve our services and the content and layout of our website; compare information for accuracy and verify it with third parties. We also use your information for marketing analysis or to send promotional or marketing newsletters. To unsubscribe from these emails, click the unsubscribe link in the email.
In order to provide a meaningful service to our users, some personal information, such as name or email address may be shared with other users. You should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit, or on any other public forum such as a blog on this site, can be read, collected, or used by other users of these forums, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit in these forums. To request removal of your personal information from a public forum, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. In some cases, we may not be able to remove your personal information.
WePay will never share your financial information with other users.
We use your personal information to provide a great customer experience and to keep our website safe. Some personal information, such as your name and email address, may be shared with other users with whom you interact on WePay.
If you click on a link to a third party site, you will leave our site you are visiting and go to the site you selected. Because we cannot control the activities of third parties, we cannot accept responsibility for any use of your personally identifiable information by such third parties, and we cannot guarantee that they will adhere to the same privacy practices as we do. We encourage you to review the privacy statements of any other service provider from whom you request services. If you visit a third party website that is linked to our site, you should read that site's privacy statement before providing any personally identifiable information.
We cannot guarantee that third-party websites will behave themselves, even if you access those sites by clicking a link on our Site. So be careful.
