Since 1955, Phi Delta Theta has been the only fraternity to give an “officially” sanctioned Major League Baseball award to ballplayers. Since the award’s inception, the name of each recipient has been placed on the permanent Gehrig Award plaque, located at the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York. Thanks to the support of a many generous Phis, the Fraternity will be endowing a fund that preserves the award, refurbishing Gehrig and Gehrig Award Winner Memorabilia and rededicating the award in the “Halls of Cooperstown” the weekend of April 20-21, 2012. The weekend’s festivities include the dedication; itself, a special Phi Delt BBQ, an Iron Phi 5K Run/Walk, and much, much more. Here you can purchase tickets to the event on Saturday April 21 at 5:30 PM. Tickets include a chance to attend the rededication ceremony, a behind the scenes Hall of Fame Tour, and an all you can eat BBQ at the Hall of Fame.
