The Taxidi project aims to create a free and open source, yet powerful alternative to expensive volunteer and nursery tracking systems for churches, day care centres, and volunteer organizations. By donating, you can help ensure the continued development and distribution of this software. Competition costs anywhere from $125 all the way up to $2317.50 for the "unlimited" database with programming designed only to work with one system, with even more fees for it to work with more than one client. Taxidi is being designed and coded with cross-platform support from the ground up, and is slated to work with Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows.
While Taxidi aims to benefit volunteer organizations, daycare centres, and churches without breaking the bank, a donation of just $25 would be invaluable in kickstarting this project. For more information about Taxidi's design, see the wiki (under construction) at http://jkltech.net/taxidi/wiki/
